Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old to use Finchie. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at hello@getfinchie.com if you suspect any unauthorised access.

You may register using your email address and password, or via Google Sign-In. You may only maintain one account per person.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the service.

Free plan: Finchie offers core expense tracking, income recording, and basic insights at no cost.

Premium plan: Premium features — including the AI Advisor, advanced analytics, and extended history — require a paid subscription. Subscription fees are displayed in the app at the time of purchase.

Billing: Premium subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method automatically at the start of each billing period.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app or your device's subscription management settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time.

Price changes: We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

You agree not to: use Finchie for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service; reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app; scrape, copy, or redistribute content without our written permission; upload malicious code or interfere with the service's integrity; or use the service in any way that could harm other users or Finchie.

Finchie is a personal finance management tool, not a regulated financial adviser. The insights, recommendations, and AI-generated analysis provided by Finchie are for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing within Finchie constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

You should not make significant financial decisions based solely on Finchie's AI analysis. Always consult a qualified financial professional for advice specific to your circumstances.

You are responsible for the accuracy of all financial data you enter into Finchie. We are not liable for decisions made based on inaccurate data you have provided.

All content, software, trademarks, logos, and technology within Finchie are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Finchie for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

Your financial data remains your own. We claim no ownership over the data you enter. See our Privacy Policy for details on how it is handled.

Finchie integrates with certain third-party services (including Cloudflare Turnstile, Cloudinary, and Google Sign-In). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.

We aim to keep Finchie available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the service for maintenance, upgrades, or circumstances beyond our control. We will provide advance notice of planned downtime where possible.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Finchie and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Finchie shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. We may terminate or suspend your account immediately for violation of these Terms, without prior notice.

Upon termination, your right to use Finchie ceases immediately. We will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Finchie shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Finchie after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
